For the last lit circles, my group read from chapter 10 to the end of the short bus.

My favorite trip that he made during this section was the burning man. This is something that I have always wanted to see because it's people escaping from society and doing whatever makes them happy. I thought the most interesting part was when he found that even though everyone was weird, there was still an in group and an out group. I feel that this proves that this will happen no matter what. Whenever there is a group of people, there will be some that have more in common than others and they can create an "in group". This was something that this book made me realize about life and society. Also, I liked when he went to visit Jeff. The thing that I really liked about Jeff is the fact that he didn't want to categorize himself. He didn't believe that he had a disorder. I think that people typically don't want to take ownership of the way they are. They say I am this way because I have a disease, disorder or my parents messed me up. They don't want to say I am this way because I am, this is me. I think it's great that Jeff doesn't want to label himself. But, I also think it's ironic that he knows a person with a disorder and thinks that can't possibly be him. I thought that the way the book ended was really funny. I think Jon realized what I realized at the burning man that no matter where you are in life or what you are doing, people are going to judge and they are going to think that everything they don't believe in is weird or wrong. This is a serious problem in society. People need to open their minds and their hearts to others in order to make a better world.
